    Pros

    I get to learn new things and doing different task everyday and paid as an intern.

    Cons

    Communicating with international carriers through emails and must not be replied wrongly.

    Pros

    Within the Malaysian context, Maxis is probably one of the better companies to work for - fairly stable company, decent compensation, and some pretty good colleagues. I left with some lifelong friends.

    Cons

    As you can expect, it's not exactly an innovative or exciting environment. But then again, so are most large corporations in Malaysia.

    Cons

    Top people build empires. Favoritism is rife.
    Strong politics.
    Many many people left because of these.

    Pros

    Awesome benefits, exciting environment to work as its based in heart of city..A good company to be with and move..

    Cons

    No career development..too many internal politics..promotion is like never happen..once in a blue moon.. its either you work to long in the same position and resign or just resign from where you started..happens in selected divisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Career development should be very active and encouraging, the management should create leader and champions and not keeping the staff in the same department for ages.

    2. Good Wages and Benefits
    3. Top Management is friendly
    4. A lots of opportunity to grow within the organization.

    Cons

    1. To much unnecessary marketing expenses
     2. Always depends on 3rd party recruitment agency such as Kelly Services to manage pay roll for subordinate which is a waste and internal HR it self can manage it better.

    1. Cut down unnecessary expenses
    2. Cut down unnecessary head counts
    3. Cut down unnecessary claim benefits for non profitable division

    Various of training programs are provided by Maxis Academy.
    Staff Benefits - SIM device subsidy, phone allowance, comprehensive health insurance

    Pros

    Benefits are good - mobile, internet allowance; dental; insurance; medical.

    Cons

    Too much red tape, causing slow turnaround time and frustration. Despite efforts to make things simple, certain members of 'management' are unwilling to change. Some bosses run their kingdoms any how they like it and take all the credit for your work. In some teams, employee welfare is poor although efforts are being made to address this at a higher level. I believe in what Morten is trying to do, but not everyone is on board. Some members of senior leadership clearly are not and are merely paying lip service.

    Flatten Organization with lesser red tapes and more productive.

    Cons

    Travelling within KLCC & Plaza Sentral for meeting. Traffic & Parking can be an issue if during peak hours.

    Pros

    Good people, tide of new culture to change customer experience and service, earnest desire to stay focused on fundamentals to make the company great.

    Cons

    Big company trying to be as nimble as it can , ambition to be like an MNC, but still having to shed "local company" mentality. It can succeed if cultural shift is successful. Board needs to give top mgmt enough time. Transitory perception of top mgmt will cripple it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on the resources that will make change happen: the employees, shareholders want contradictory things...nice dividends and long term profits. Don't be afraid to set expectations if the middle to long term plans require just that: time.

    - Moved away from formal attire to casual wear
    - Good benefits on telephony, broadband, medical, parking allowance and etc.
    - Good room to grow your career depending on the department you're in

    Cons

    - Frequent re-org which disrupts employees morale and KPI
    - Senior management constantly applies pressure on their downliners to ensure they remain at helm at the expense of work, life and balance
    - Lack of external training for self developmen

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Stop spending on applying cosmetics to the office building and work towards rewarding the staff for efforts put.
    - Stop adding management layers after an initial good work of removing them.
