    No opinion of CEO

I worked at McBride Electric full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great resources, best equipment, and safety was a huge concern. Working for a structured corporation was a plus, and the senior staff was very knowledgeable of the industry.

    Cons

Virtually no hope of career advancement within this organization. The licensed electricians that worked their had no opportunities for career advancement, while the apprentices were given alternative roles often.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within whenever possible. Also, become attentive to the career goals of your subordinates.

I worked at McBride Electric full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

As a service company they really had there act together. I worked in the Houston branch for several years and it was a fun job because of the caliber of the electricians I worked with, I miss that type of environment

    Cons

Management Change made it harder on the employees.

    Advice to Management

Corp. America turned another company in to a pressure cooker for all the electricians.

    Pros

Company was privately held when I was hired, and employees were treated extremely well. Company went down after being purchased by an investment company.

    Cons

Company went down after being purchased by an investment company. Employees benefits were eliminated, no 401(k) plan, health insurance became a Health Savings Plan.

Former Employee - Vice President Sales in San Diego, CA

    Pros

Te culture within the national accounts organization fosters sharing of ideas, resources, customer responsibilities and in some cases compensation.

    Cons

The President is narrow minded and highly political. He has an almost impossible time looking at the world as it is vs what he thinks it to be. resulting in VERY poor business decisions

    Advice to Management

Scrap the President and get someone in place with a vison who can motiveate and manage towards the vision.
