    Pros

    None to write down here.

    Cons

Extremely disorganized. Management had no respect for your time. They would leave at 5:00 p.m. and tell you to wait for them to email you after they went home and fed their kids, etc. They gave everyone blackberries and we were on call 24 hours. If you didn't respond they texted you and call your cell phone.

    Pros

Culture, co-workers, and bosses, all great.

    Cons

Long hours on my account, and all assistant planners start at a non-negotiable $30k, which is painful.

    Pros

    Pays well. Some nice people.

    Cons

Creative is pushed firmly aside. Feels like the agency is scared of all their clients and will never do a thing to challenge them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Things are happening at McCann. The deadwood is gone, and new great people have arrived, alongside with some interesting new clients. I think it will be some very interesting next few years at McCann, and I am very excited to be a part of it.

As a part of IPG, McCann has great benefits. Also you can expect better than average PTO, and competitive salaries, and a brand new redesigned from scratch office.

    Cons

McCann used to be extremely old-school, and some people still think this.

I have been working at McCann Worldgroup full-time

    Pros

Great colleagues, great upper management, & it's fun to be a part of the Worldgroup. Super fast-paced compared to most Utah companies. A very mature yet lighthearted environment centered on accountability.

    Cons

Not enough onboarding, training and reference materials aren't organized. Clients can be frustrating, but that's unavoidable. Long hours can be necessary sometimes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Improve onboarding. More thorough training.

Always fast paced and exciting. At times, an inefficient workplace due to sheer scale.

    Pros

Access to award winning integrated media plans from the world's largest companies. Gives a colorful and memorable taste of what media agency life is like in NYC.

    Cons

4-5 month learning curve and industry-wide low pay on agency side.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Promote more connections inter-team.

I worked at McCann Worldgroup full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

*4 summer Fridays off - and you got to choose them. The company I left McCann for gave us 4 Fridays off but they were based seniority, client need, and you had to work an extra half hour each day to redeem them - it wasn't "free"
    * Dec 25-Jan1 off, but if you worked that week you received 3 days off in 1Q for each day you worked
So say Christmas fell on Sunday and you opt to work M-F instead of vegging out, you'd have 15 days of to use before Mar 31 the next year
    Benefits, technology perks/discounts, global reach

    Cons

Being a young professional on a field team, I would've liked more regular interaction with HQ, maybe an annual NY trip for training, meeting the folks I'm talking to regularly, and expand my outlook and perception of the company. Training locally should've been more formalized, especially since the local leadership was threatening retirement

I worked at McCann Worldgroup as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

Interesting work that allowed me to improve my skill set. The other artists I worked with were helpful as well as talented. Working in downtown Birmingham was a big plus.

    Cons

The art directors were very opinionated about whom they would work for to the point of nepotism. Lost my job to a friend of a friend even though my manager assured me my work, attitude and professionalism were not an issue.

I have been working at McCann Worldgroup as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Working in this company in SF is really nice. They are so friendly and IT coworkers are so nice. I like that as a perk we can get something we need for our personal computer. There are free coffee, tea, etc and I like that we have vending machines for our access.

    Cons

Some of the people that call through the helpdesk line can be quit rude or impatient some times but they have similar problems.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up with the good work.
