    Pros

Had a mentor that guided me through assignments and what she wanted me to do. She answered any questions that I had and made the process easier.

    Cons

Was significantly younger than most of the employees in the accounting department. Nobody really reached out and gave me advice. A lot of the work I was given was busy work.

    Advice to Management

Have a program for interns to where they can better learn how to work at a big company. Assign tasks that will help in the future rather than work that is insignificant.

  2. Good company to learn how to do things in right way; But maybe not a good time to join

    Pros

Highly developed procedures for all departments; One of the few top companies in this industry can do all Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation and Commissioning

    Cons

Oil price has a huge impact on this kind of project-based company as most of the focused projects are either delayed or cancelled

    Pros

There is a long history of good people with a company that started as a family business in Louisiana which later went public.

    Cons

Share prices have dropped to near penny-stock values. There are no pay raises or bonuses. There have been too many teams of executive management in too short of a time. Layoffs are still happening. Austerity measures for everyone but the C-Suite executives.

    Advice to Management

Take some of your own medicine and try flying coach class for a while, limiting your meal expenses to less than triple digit values, take a subway instead of a private driver, quit remodeling your offices while you lay off people, and quit paying for a Starbucks service for the C-suite and return the rest of the company back to a service that they actually drink.
