Pros
Great team and management was great. Very nice and easy to work. Nothing to hard to learn and you pick up the pace of work pretty quickly.
Cons
Pay is low of course because it is a fast food restaurant. A career advancement is ok, you will probably be stuck to being a line cook or cashier for a while.
Advice to Senior Management
Please add more incentive to the employees. We work very hard to make sure the food turns out great and we should be rewarded.
Pros
The people who work there are great. If you are a student its nice to work with people your own age and they allow you an opportunity to fit your work schedule around school
Cons
Sometimes it gets a little hectic and the pay is not great but it is a job and considering this is a recession people should not really complain
Advice to Senior Management
Try not to hire so many managers because it gets kind of ridiculous after a while. There should only be a couple to begin with
Pros
Fun energetic fast paced easy nice not that hard to learn flexible growth pay is ok friendly well known fun
Cons
The pay isnt very good. hard to work with your direct superiors sometimes. Not always understanding. hard to move upward.
Advice to Senior Management
make it easier to grow within the company. discourage favoritism amongst superiors. pay better. have less turnover to save on training cost
Pros
Free food on Break and discounts on occaision, nice and easy to get along peeps
Cons
training sucks there's no orientation you gotta learn mostly by watching other team members and stuff.
Advice to Senior Management
work on training new employees
Pros
I was well-trained (online & in-store) and included training for not only Mcdonalds but also for other customer service jobs and food handling.
Cons
Employees do not give respect for your time to train them and make it a good learning environment. Also, employees did not listen to their evaluations I did or take any constructive criticism due to me being younger than them. There is also a languagr barrier if you are not fluent in McDonalds.
Advice to Senior Management
Promote teamwork and constructive advice on Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value. Also, try to emphasize Quality an Service over Speediness.
Pros
If you get in good with management you can move up quickly.
Flexible schedule, I always got time off I needed
Lots of hours
Wide variety of tasks you get to do throughout your shift
Co workers and customers make the job fun
Discounted and sometimes free food
Cons
Some managers were terrible and wouldnt help you at all and then complain about your
performance
Heavily micromanaged, a lot of procedures that were demanded by the corporate office did not fit with the way our small store functioned
Managers pressured to keep labor costs down, which resulted in being killed when a rush came
Advice to Senior Management
To much pressure put on stores for corporate reviews. Having every employee working on the days that the review is taking place is ridiculous and is completely inaccurate in showing how the store typically functions on a daily basis
Watch the people you do promote a lot of them feel that its a free ticket to do nothing a boss others around.
Pros
Easy, simple, OK pay for part time teenager. Not stressful besides dealing with customers but tends to not be an issue. Everyday is different working at McDonalds no matter how cliche or typical or fake that may sound. Free meals during shifts and uniform provided. Fast paced job, easy to get hired.
Cons
Should not be considered a career choice. Nothing to learn from working at McDonald's as far as building and moving along a career path. Standing all day on your feet, can fatigue is that's an issue for you.
Advice to Senior Management
Management is not the most respectful individuals I've come across. Sometimes your coworkers and the type of people you may want to work around, that being said, the work enviroment is not ALWAYS the friendliest.
Pros
Entry level job, work that's easy to pick up if you have half a brain, free meals
Cons
Messed up inner hierarchy, if you're their friend you get promoted, if you're a suck up you get promoted. It isnt based on ability
Advice to Senior Management
Give raises/ promotions every 6 months like stated, step in and do something instead of letting the people below you take care of it
Pros
One benefit is getting free food.
Cons
Working conditions are very bad.
Advice to Senior Management
Be a better leader with the team.
Pros
Fast paced if you like it....
Cons
Bad pay, favoritism among management and promotions are not likely.
Advice to Senior Management
Stay away...
