I worked at McDonald's (less than an year)

    Pros

I really enjoyed my coworkers and the majority of my managers. My store had 9 when I began and 6 when I left (7 months later). It was all very friendly.

    Cons

They don't give you your breaks on time if you get them at all. Constantly scheduling 3:45 hour and 5:45 hour shifts so you don't get a proper break. Schedules came out Sunday night and began the next Monday. Customers are often not understanding and difficult if anything goes wrong. You're never off on time and no employee discounts on food or drink.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please make sure your employees get their proper breaks and no later than 15 minutes of their scheduled time. It gets really frustrating when employees are treated so badly.

I worked at McDonald's part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Minimum wage, it's a paycheck and that's about it. If it is your first job you will get an introduction to being a surf.

    Cons

Poor quality food that makes customers sick and no advancement opportunities worth pursuing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Raise wages.

I worked at McDonald's part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Having a guaranteed meal at each shift is quite nice. Also when managers are good and other colleagues are not new, the night and day can go by smoothly.

    Cons

Time off has to be months in advance, or begging and pleading with co-workers to get shifts off. No rewards for hard work.

I worked at McDonald's part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

You receive discounts on food there if you work there, so its good if you like their food.
Co-workers are usually great and fun people to work with as many of them are in similar situations as yourself.

    Cons

They pay minimum wage and would probably pay less if they could.
Close to no room for any job advancement.
Managers are very disorganized and care more about themselves than their employees.
They cut hours seemingly out of nowhere.
