Former Employee – worked at McDonald's part-time for more than 3 years

Pros – McDonald's crews are usually close-knit teams who work well together, look out for each other and socialise outside of work. Regular customers also became friends. Great way to meet loads of people on a daily basis. Lots of opportunity to gain qualifications and progress to Manager and beyond, for those who want to.

Cons – I have had experience with very authoritarian, quite scary managers! Serving customers can be very stressful on busy days (when you have up to 10 orders on the go at once), and this is not helped by a minority of customers who are rude and patronising (also a lot of drunk customers).

Cons – The atmosphere is disgusting. Very rude customers. Not very flexible with your schedule

Cons – lack of communication and disorganize, money problems with management depends on what store you work at. I feel like the problem is not getting solved but ignored.

Pros – nice people, discounts for products, if you are lucky you can be promoted quite fast

Cons – very strickt rules to follow, managers are always looking at your hands and aren't very nice, you have to do everything (sales, sandwiches, cleaning toilets, mc drive), you cannot stand and do nothing even when nothing is going on - you will rather be asked to wash the box for salad you already washed 2 times
