the customers that would falsely complain to receive free food and no proof that anything we did was wrong. working short staffed and trying to call people in and can not get in touch with anyone

I have been working at McDonald's full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Promotion from within, endless opportunity for growth. Great salary when courses are completed.

    Cons

Hours can be extremely long. There are definitely over nighters for inventory mid month and end of month. Training is extensive and often in Chicago in Oak Brook. Continuing education is extensive as market constantly evolving. Targets, profits and loss can be tedious and labor can be crucial for cash flow. There is a lot of work to put in but can be extremely lucrative if your making your targets for the location.

    Advice to Management

I have enjoyed great experiences and my advice is to continue their program for golden standards.

    I worked at McDonald's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, able to trade-off shifts with other employees Easy job

    Cons

    - most managers are bullies. They're very rude and act highly above all else, even though they're 20+ and working at McDonald's. - they would make me work 8-12 hours without a break or food - no hand protection - expect lots of oil burns

I have been working at McDonald's full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Depending on your manager's mood, you may get flexible hours or alternative work arrangements. They've eroded health benefits, support services, and eliminated just about every other meaningful benefit. They won't even buy you a McDonalds lunch, if they schedule a meeting over the lunch hour.

    Cons

Easterbrook is only focused on delivering shareholder value. He does it at the expense of employees, and begrudgingly for customers.

    Advice to Management

There are three stakeholder groups that you need to run a successful business. Investors, Employees, and Customers. Ignore your customer and employee needs at your own peril.
