    Pros

    Cons

I worked at McDonald's (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent starter job, trained employees very well, paid for what you did, and created an environment in which learning to deal with massive amounts of customers on a daily basis was greatly appreciated many years after I left the job. Showed me what it means to be a good employee, how to rise through the ranks, and what not to do as an employee. The management was phenomenal, outside of one or two members, but they were all very good at keeping their cool and jumping in to help out during busy rushes.

    Cons

the cons are mostly all due to the stress of the environment in which I worked. The particular store i worked at is one of the busiest stores i had ever seen, let alone worked in. The rather angry customer base, long hours, and the lack of willing and hard working employees at the time made it extra stressful. The store felt too small for the customer base in which it was handling and at the time the menu was much larger than it is today, emphasizing the compactness of the store.

    Pros

Free soda. One of the only good things about working at McDonald's was the free soda. Some of my fellow coworkers were also friendly.

    Cons

McDonald's payed me minimum wage to work overnights for overy a year. There was no 3rd shift premium. Third shift was understaffed, underpayed, and under appreciated. Day Management treated us horribly. There was nothing we could do right. Despite working bar close with only three people on staff, cleaning the entire store, and restocking for the day shifts and finishing the incomplete work left from 2nd shift, the 3rd shifters were treated like we were incompetent and lazy. The "flexible" scheduling was only flexible so far as when management wanted you to work, attempting to get a day off wad extremely difficult.

    Advice to Management

Management should treat the employees like actual human beings instead of garbage. I would also recommend working 3rd shift for a week at a time to get a realistic scope of what actually goes on.

    Pros

Some coworkers are nice, they guarantee 40hrs a week, free food on lunch break

    Cons

No worker besides a manager is willing to train, they did not have my size any the clothing at all so my.pants dragged on the ground and looked very unprofessional, i was told to do drive thru after 1 day and never git any training needed for it, managers did not understand that i already had a part time job so i had to leave exactly at the end of my shift and made me work longer without anyone taking over. They did not give me a schedule my first week and it was very difficult to get it. I got a break only 2 hours after starting a 5-3 shift and never understood why i complained about an early break so basically I never ate due to not being hungry. Trainers are never in a good mood. Just very disappointed in this whole company in my work experience

    Advice to Management

Listen to what your workers need. Understand their problems and help the person in need.
