    Cons

Constantly push to build client relationships with new, emerging companies and thought leaders even though they may not be fee paying customers at first

    Pros

Best in class people and projects that is the gold standard apprenticeship for leaders, unbeatable colleagues, projects and breadth of projects, industries and geographies

    Cons

It's a perfect storm of pressure: insecure overachievers who demand their personal best all the time, an up or out structure which requires everyone to perform and high client expectations to justify the high fees

    Advice to Management

It's high risk but high return and just like nobody ever gets fired for hiring McKinsey, it's rare for it to be a wrong step in your career

    Pros

    2. Great opportunities to travel and explore multiple industries
    3. Innovative new models and access to experts in everything

    Cons

    1. Lots of travel, usually 4 days / week
    2. Lots of work, over 70 hours / week regularly

I have been working at McKinsey & Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing company with outstanding benefits. Working with the smartest people you will ever meet.

Very generous compensation model as well across all levels. Looks great on the resume and very supportive of other opportunities.

    Cons

The hours are very long.... very, very long. Be prepared to learn more than you will at any other company, but at the lost of your personal life and your relationships.

Additionally, clients are very demanding. We charge the most, and they expect the most. It comes at a cost.

    Advice to Management

Don't force people to be up or out. Develop a program that allows a high performing employee to slow down their trajectory. Not every person wants to get promoted. Find a way to make "the funnel" work for those that don't want to speed through it.
