Former Employee – worked at McKinsey & Company full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Competitive salary (unless you want to compete with banking/ hedge fund); variety of projects that you may explore; travel to some new places (depending on your projects); working with some really smart and driven people; meeting senior executives in both private and public sectors
Cons – regular traveling is tough (nights away from home, flight delays); long working hours especially in Asia Offices; not always have flexibility with projects you want (guess that's part of being an employee though)
Advice to Senior Management – Hire more competent professional development/ HR staff who will not annoy the consulting staff from time to time with offensive emails
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at McKinsey & Company
Pros – One of the best places to work in the world.
Full of talented people.
A lot of fun and challinging work.
Cons – Normally poor work/life balance.
Lack of industry expertise.
Sometimes people are too aggressive and think they are too smart in a stupid way.
Advice to Senior Management – Focus on only one or two areas and become true industry/world changing leaders.
Keep work/life balance for your subsidiaries and don't give too much useless directions when you don't know nothing at all.
