    Pros

Everyone is friendly and the company is very well organized. It has a sense of a small community and everyone interacts no matter what the department is.

    Cons

Older group of employees that may be a bit out of touch with things. Work can be slow and things can take a long time to get to where they need to be.

    Advice to Management

Be more expedient and get more involved with the lower level employees. Take time to help mentor employees from all departments and to promote from within.

    Pros

Excellent experience you can use elsewhere. Wonderful coworkers, friends for life.
Try to look at your experience as a way to get a foot in the door somewhere else, get all you can out of it.
Just take it all in with stride knowing that you just put your time in and write your ticket elsewhere.

    Cons

Low pay. Whenever they transition or promote an employee from within the organization, they offer them less than the starting pay for the position. An employee working with the company for several years should make the starting pay amount, not the original amount for their old job. Then the company turns around and pays an outside hire more money for the same job. The highest raise anyone could hope for is 60 cents, but the average is around 25 cents.
Management will not promote you if you are good at your job. If you take initiative and complete a project, your supervisor will take credit for it. Keep a portfolio of your work, and get a reference from a peer to verify your work to protect yourself.
You have to use PTO for holidays when the office is closed and going in is not an option. If you were sick the week before and you don't have PTO to accommodate the office closing, you get written up.
Managers will tell you not to pursue college education for fear you will quit for a better job.
When overwhelmed with duties and we ask for help we are laughed at to our face.

    Advice to Management

Learn the difference between being a manager and being a leader.
Offer more pay to current employees, do not underpay a 3 year employee and make them train the new employee in their department who is making way more money.
Encourage education and pay more for an employee who has a degree in the field.
Create more parking spaces outside the building.
One more time, pay everyone more! You are paying everyone half of what the market level is for most positions. You cannot offer us 25 cent raises then go to your vacation home up north for most of the year.

    Pros

There are wonderful people working for this "non-profit", of course they are the people that are ignored by all levels management. If you are a dishonest, self-serving, callous person with family in Mclaren management you'll do well with this company. This is what the future of corporate medicine looks like. They are expanding all over the state of Michigan.

    Cons

Complete, universal lack of communication among all levels and units in the company is really pretty amazing. Blatant union busting. Complete focus on short term profits over function. Cons might actually be getting worse over time.
