Current Employee – been working at Meaden & Moore as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Enjoyed the level of flexibility that existed with my scheduling. Management (especially in the tax department) is very easy to talk to. Was able to work on a variety of different projects which helped to give me a better idea of where I wanted to go with my career.
Cons – You get the opportunity to work with nearly every person in the office while on an internship, and some managers were harder to work with than other managers.

Current Employee – been working at Meaden & Moore full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – You get a pizza party everytime someone quits, which is a lot
Cons – low salary, each manager is different so it's difficult to keep up, some of the managers have no business managing people, culture sucks
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Pros – Great leadership. They have a strong vision for where they want the firm to be and work hard to get it there. Middle management has a lot of flexibility to advance their careers and create opportunities for themselves by developing their own niches, presenting ideas to the owners and getting them approved, and coming up with unique and creative ideas on how to make the firm better. The client base is great and diverse and provides a lot of different experiences and learning opportunities about different industries, different business types, etc. I turned down a job in industry with a significant raise (it would have been 50% more than what I made) to stay with the firm because I believed the long term gains at the firm would outweigh any short term pay bump. Also, for a regional size firm, I believe I'm fairly compensated for what I do - some of the benefits and flexibility of working at a firm like this can't have a dollar value assigned to them. So if I make less than I would if I worked at a Big 4 firm or in industry, but get to enjoy a better quality of life and have more say in how the firm operates then I'm more than comfortable with that. I like being able to be an entrepreneur with the backing of an established company. I like it a lot.
Cons – Like anywhere, there are one or two people that are difficult to work with at times because of their lack of people skills. But in a place with 180 employees, 1 or 2 poor managers are bound to exist, especially when an accountant's skill set isn't usually heavy on managerial type skills.

Pros – The firm is a great size - perfect for obtaining experience in multiple fields. Management is very knowledgeable and the firm has great resources.
Cons – A few bad apples spoil the bunch - certain members of management are nearly impossible to work with. Reputation for underpaying employees.
