I have been working at Meals on Wheels

    Pros

Mission driven. Teamwork encouraged. Invests in staff. Staff encouraged to deliver meals to clients which really drives home the importance of what we do every day. Good work-life balance. Transparent and responsible to staff, donors, volunteers, the board, and community supporters.

    Cons

The only real negative is that as Meals on Wheels is a nonprofit, the pay is what you would expect at a nonprofit. MOW is a good steward of our supporters' time and money, but it is hard to live on a nonprofit income.

I worked at Meals on Wheels part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The volunteers are amazing. They really do care about the clients.

    Cons

Management ( with the exception of a few) only care about themselves. Have been there to long and are only there for the pay check. Stopped caring about the clients a long time ago. Meals on Wheels could be so much more.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Team work. If your employees do well, it's a reflection of your work.
