    Great learning environment.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGlobal presence - many opportunities to leave your mark
High tech - facilitates continuing your informal education
Lean decision making - don't have to contend with a lot of red tape

ConsDisjointed business units - feels like 5 or 6 completely separate companies
Like many companies, plagued by subpar information systems
Persistent change management atmosphere wears on the employee base

Advice to Senior ManagementThe impersonal corporate culture does not facilitate team building or team work. Consider initiatives to drive a more cohesive environment.

If you like to work hard....this is the place.

Customer Account Representative (Current Employee) Hampton, VA

ProsShort of staff. Therefore you will always be busy. This means that time will fly by.

ConsKeep records of everything (emails, faxes, voice recorder, if possible). If something goes wrong they will be looking for someone to blame. It will be you if you don't have proof.

Tough work environment, have to strive and find opportunities on your own, fiefdoms everywhere

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsLots of sites and opportunities to work with collegues around the globe
Many technologies and industries to learn about and work on

ConsNear-zero talent and human resource management
    Highly fragmented and desintegrated company
Unfair workload for some and too easy for others
Complex strutcure lacking simplification and nearly impossible to manage towards a common goal
New Product Introduction out of control, not yielding tangible results

Advice to Senior ManagementToo many acquisitions, not enough synergies and simplification, showing lack of results over last 7 years.
Employees are treated as objects and talent under/over utilization is #1 cause of waste and lack of sustainable results

    Medieval

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Pros- Regular work hours 8-5, rarely have to work overtime
    - Fairly light workload
    - Many products / large catalog

Cons- Other than CEO, management are cronies. Kiss up and kick down culture.
    - Rude, sometimes belittling managers, who run their own fiefdoms
    - Disorganized company
    - Unmotivated employees
    - Bureaucratic
    - Poor quality control, lots of angry customers
    - Horrible communication within company
    - Most manufacturing done in China, which is a pain to coordinate / communicate with.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement needs to value their employees and technology, rather than cut costs, cut pay and staff, and grow solely by acquisition. Too many disparate sites that are poorly run, lack focus and motivation, and run like private fiefdoms.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
