Current Employee - CSE in Phoenix, AZ

    Pros

    3 day work weeks.

    Cons

Compensation is not equivalent to amount of work. Not enough staff at the Global Response Center to be able to satisfy the demand. Constant clients are joining, but employees are not being trained. Initial training is poor, which causes stress for CSE and Nurses. Management does not come straight forward about reviews, raises, or any personal or professional advancement. The employee must chase for anything to be completed. Poor company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire most of management, and rehire people who know what they're doing with a company of this magnitude.

    Pros

They provide a great service internationally to commercial aviation, private jets, and maritime industry.

    Cons

Staff always late, being leads and CSE, pay does not line up with day to day task, we are abused in our role, unprofessional staff and environment, management does not listen, they say one thing and do another, understaffed both nurses and CSE, overall negative environment and all they seem to focus on is numbers, no human touch.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If I knew they would take advice I would give some, but since it seems they are all seasoned and stuck in their ways it will never change, too much wrong has gone on for to long and been acceptable, so it's what they know. Very unprofessional and seems all management are best friends. Constant drinking and bad mouthing amounts staff and management.

    Pros

International experience from working with other international alarm centers and clients. The MedLink physicians are great to work with and such an asset to this company. Top in world for in-flight medical emergencies.

    Cons

If you like to work non-stop for 12 hours and have little to no break time then working in the Global Response Center is for you. Seniority is of no benefit. You are constantly being asked to work overtime on days off or stay late for consistently late coworkers. Non stop issues with company data program. Upward mobility means working every weekend and ever changing duties.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respond to employees in timely manner. Gut the Human Resource department. Get rid Philadelphia handling payroll. Be proactive in hiring and training BEFORE new clients are added. Better interaction between departments. Global Services is the heart of this company but most everyone in that department is exhausted and tired of hearing it will get better. Listen to those doing the job before procedures are changed.

Company in need of shaping and visibility

    • Comp & Benefits
    • Work/Life Balance
    • Senior Management
    • Culture & Values
    • Career Opportunities
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

    -Culture is relaxed
-Flexible work hours, if not in call center
-Exposure to top level management due to small size of company

    Cons

-Full-time benefits are expensive, 1/4 cost at jobs previous to this
-Many employees need professional shaping and etiquette. Have a pro career but conduct far below a professional's manner.
-Deal with careless, and often, immature behavior from all levels of employees. Need to inject RACI model here. No surprise, if top level maintains poor practice in behavior, it will distribute
-Overall sense of dissatisfaction and slowness, belief that nothing will change
-Large separation of visibility and ownership between top management and the rest
-Little focus on personal or professional growth for employees
-Very hard for advancement due to small company size, inclination to hire outside the company
-Too much focus on operational tasks
-There is a ceiling for capacity of their current business model

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-Improve business conduct. Get seminars, speakers for top level management to learn best practice in time management, relationship management, business conduct to distribute top down. Stay objective.
-Remove those mindsets and walls that bar progress and innovation by implementing process (and mentality) to create change. DMAIC? 5WHY's?
-Need focus on creating a roadmap to success for both an employee's professional and personal skillset. Schedule reviews several times a year, enforce policy to management
-Fill the gap between top management and the rest with middle management opportunities (promote within, hire great people) to create new opportunities for advancement, drive business objectives from top management, hold someone accountable for both employees and your own tasks
-Empower employees with more decision-making ability
-Get your workers out of the day-to-day muck, improve business systems to alleviate heavy operational tasks, free up your bandwidth, more focus on strategical objectives
