I worked at MedImmune as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

I worked there as a contractor. The job itself was ok, but the Hours were too long. They will never make you permanent unless you know someone in management.

    Cons

    Long hours, short term contract

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire more permanent employees

I worked at MedImmune as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

    1. Pretty good food choices at the lunch room.
    2. Better than not having a job.

    Cons

    1. Treated most of us like children.
    2. Forced us to work seven 12 hour days a week for 2 months.

They remind you frequently that you are easily replaced.

I worked at MedImmune as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

They take people with little or no experience. You can avoid working all together if you hide out from your responsibility. If you negotiate you can make more than other people on shift and make your own days and hours.

    Cons

They treat you like you can be replaced immediately. They ask you to change shifts and hours almost at random. You will get stuck doing the same job unless you complain or you make enough mistakes that they decide it's better to move you. Most of the people that work here don't know how to do their job and a few people carry the rest of the shift.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop hiring people that don't know how to do their job and review people more frequently to make sure they understand the SOPs.
