    Growing and stable

RN Clinical (Current Employee) Washington, DC

ProsLots of opportunities for growth and just about every possible aspect of healthcare available. They really respect their RNS and the work that they do--realizing they are a major reason the system is successful.

ConsCommuting is a bear. The EHR is cumbersome and non-intuitive.

Advice to Senior ManagementLook into a better, all-in-one EHR. The band-aid fixes to Cerner are painful. Every day there are 3 new emails on how we have to document differently. It drives some practitioners away.

Hospital loves to combine two job titles under one to conserve capital.

Transplant Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) Washington, DC

ProsMost people were genuine to work with. There is great employee parking. The hospital provides a great atmosphere for meeting new people and networking. The highly recumbent this hospital beware of particular departments.

ConsPeople may pass off work to coworkers often to cover themselves. This department will throw you into work without properly training you. Learn to act like you know what you are doing to get through the day.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire more people and stop trying to condense staff.

    Awesome place to work

Full Time Registered Nurse (Current Employee) Leonardtown, MD

ProsWorking on Magnet status; good salary; excellent team; people really work together here and the managers work to improve the culture all the time

Consthere are many different skill levels, but this is true of nursing everywhere. It takes time to achieve Magnet status and there will trials and errors.

Advice to Senior ManagementSpend a little more time on the floor with staff. Allow for vacations in the month of December!!!

Department Secretary (Current Employee) Leonardtown, MD

Prosnice benefits, vacation and time off is better than a lot of places I have worked and the people are nice

ConsMost VPs do not seem to generally care about their employees... overpaid.. I can only speak about the hospital in Leonardtown.. not sure about the other hospitals.

Advice to Senior ManagementCare about your employees and what they have to say.... listen to them and don't treat them like a number
