    Pros

Lots of enthusiasm as everyone has a positive attitude. There is usually some free food and treats at holiday times.

    Cons

Long hours are expected if the client demands including weekends and holidays, though it is rare. Only way to climb the ladder for Planners is to seek employment elsewhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work/Life balance has got to be a priority at some point. Employees get burnt out fast, which makes them less effective.

    Pros

Groups are tight/family like within their departments
Cross platform planning/buying is now a focus (better late than never)
    Sexy, high profile entertainment clients
    Smart and creative co-workers
Compensation/Benefits are on-par with industry norm

    Cons

A lot of talk, false promises on what will happen (promotions, client involvement) and doesn't typically come to fruition.
Some senior level management do not take ownership of mistakes and will pass blame on team
No boundaries set with clients - even for the sake of employees' sanity
    Severely understaffed in key departments
No access to CEO (at all)
Communication from Sr Management horrendous. Not all departments are informed of topics which will directly impact them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Empower and Trust Employees. Provide junior employees who wish to advance in their career support and education. Do not alienate a certain department from client exposure. Own your mistakes. "Take on for the Team" should not be a thrown around term.

    Pros

Great company to come in and learn a lot of elements regardless of your title/position. If you're motivated you can put a stamp on the work and agency. Management acknowledges work ethic and rewards their people. It is also a great environment to speak out and have your voice heard. Also, they have a roster of accounts that are fun to work on

    Cons

Sometimes can feel very unstructured from a process perspective. Management needs to better understand what day-to-day tasks entail to better manage clients and workflow, especially when team is stretched very thin.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue acknowledging great work, but establish a support system that helps the team become more efficient, boost bandwidth and ultimately produce the highest quality work product

    Pros

Your coworkers are friendly and always looking to be social outside of work. Summer Fridays and other perks go a long way towards keeping people happy.

    Cons

The senior management is a little lost on new business and people spend a little too much time in the office (although that's not new to most agency veterans).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get more buy in from people at all levels and encourage staff to skip weekend emails every so often.

    Pros

casual dress and laid back atmosphere

    Cons

administrative and accounting branches practice favoritism in promotion and salary increases. Promotional opportunities totally restricted whoever management likes and not based or work ethic or work performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    hire some fresh faces

    Pros

The agency has grown a lot in the short 12 years of its existence, and there's no sign of slowing down. Fun client list. Management really tries to make it a good environment (they don't always succeed, and some departments and teams have more issues than others, but at least they care). Employees of every level are encouraged to make an impact on the company, from defining the vision to being involved in new business initiatives.

    Cons

Office space has not kept up with the company's growth. Although the office is cool (nicely designed, in a hip area), we are sitting on top of each other, with no privacy (it gets difficult to have a rep meeting or even hear what is going on during a client call). Now there are even people sitting in conference rooms. Some of the new policies are confusing, but at least there's transparency and effort to explain them and the rationale behind.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Office expansion to another floor would be nice. I would kill for a cubicle. That open office concept is overrated.
Also, promotions sometimes take a long time compared to other agencies. Give your junior staff what they deserve before they go looking for it somewhere else.

    Pros

Feels much more "personal" than a large agency. Senior management that cares. Well-structured annual review process: steps needed for promotion/further development clearly outlined. Creativity is encouraged. A lot of responsibility given at every level - the sky is the limit, if you can handle it. Employees are compensated well, and annual raises (if deserved) are given: from my experience, this is highly unusual in this industry. The bar is set high at this agency, but you will be generously rewarded and appreciated for your hard work.

    Cons

Work hours are until 6... officially (vs 5 at most agencies). Half day before a holiday means you leave at 3 versus the typical 1pm. A lot of West Coast clients which often means longer hours (luckily all employees have full access from home, so if you have to work late, you don't have to do it in the office). Stingy with holidays and vacations versus every other agency I have worked at. Clients are demanding, and expectations from all the way up are extremely high (you really cannot "coast" at this agency, you will work your butt off). "Process" leaves a lot to be desired, the agency grew too quickly and the systems are still catching up.
