    Pros

Nice offices, solid location. Plenty of vendors bringing in food and drink. Some big name clients. Some really good senior managers who understand media.

    Cons

Internal processes are destroying this place. Specifically billing. People spend half their time battling internal issues instead of optimizing client performance. Benefits are so-so.

    Advice to Management

Focus on client performance and cut out the internal process nonsense.

I worked at Media Storm full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The atmosphere is usually very relaxed, as well as the dress code. You get a good amount of PTO and an hour lunch. The clients are interesting and your days are constantly changing. Great "first" job.

    Cons

There is no room to grow. Although you occasionally get feedback from management about your work, there is no incentive to work harder, because there is very little accountability for the senior team. Every person who leaves has the same complaints and Human Resources does not step in to attempt to correct the issues. Nepotism is also a large problem at this agency.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people under you. Act professional. Stop hiring your family.

I have been working at Media Storm full-time

    Pros

Love my team. Nice people who give a damn (whether it comes to clients or co-workers). Genuine interest in helping me learn and get to the next level of my career. Better access to senior management than you would get at larger agencies. Happy hours, themed events and bagels on Fridays.

    Cons

    Need more formalized training opportunities.

    Pros

Wear jeans everyday, 25 PTO days

    Cons

Poor structure/operations, management has no clue, company is losing clients fast

    Advice to Management

Might want to put up before the company becomes non existent

    Pros

Strong within entertainment (just tune-in) vertical. Decent hours when compared to rest of industry. Decent account list although that seems like it's starting to dwindle.

    Cons

Gets stale fast. Most employees are home grown and this is all they know. Limited reviews and raises. High turnover, seems like someone leaves every week which isn't good for a small agency. For the most part, a very dull agency which is terrible because this industry should be fun and spark creativity.

    Advice to Management

Make this a fun place to work and treat employees better.

    Pros

Fun company to work for, Happy hour on thursdays, free food and snacks, Great place to learn the industry

    Cons

Very hectic office, might stay at work late some days.

I worked at Media Storm full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of enthusiasm as everyone has a positive attitude. There is usually some free food and treats at holiday times.

    Cons

Long hours are expected if the client demands including weekends and holidays, though it is rare. Only way to climb the ladder for Planners is to seek employment elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Work/Life balance has got to be a priority at some point. Employees get burnt out fast, which makes them less effective.

I worked at Media Storm full-time

    Pros

Groups are tight/family like within their departments Cross platform planning/buying is now a focus (better late than never) Sexy, high profile entertainment clients Smart and creative co-workers Compensation/Benefits are on-par with industry norm

    Cons

A lot of talk, false promises on what will happen (promotions, client involvement) and doesn't typically come to fruition. Some senior level management do not take ownership of mistakes and will pass blame on team No boundaries set with clients - even for the sake of employees' sanity Severely understaffed in key departments No access to CEO (at all) Communication from Sr Management horrendous. Not all departments are informed of topics which will directly impact them.

    Advice to Management

Empower and Trust Employees. Provide junior employees who wish to advance in their career support and education. Do not alienate a certain department from client exposure. Own your mistakes. "Take on for the Team" should not be a thrown around term.
