    Pros

    great client roster, casual atmosphere

    Cons

How would you like to come into the office to find out from your manager there will be layoffs across the board but she doesn't know who and if your on the hit list you'll hear from HR by 2pm. How do you expect people to focus on work under this heavy cloud....Why do this??

    Pros

competitive compensation, lots of training opportunities

    Cons

very corporate, heavily silo-ed departments, some cumbersome and rather pointless proprietary "tools" make work life hell, constantly understaffed teams = long hours. The Specialist team was a good idea poorly executed. An attempt to consolidate low-value, time-consuming work doesn't actually help. Specialists aren't actually specialized, they don't understand most work so you wait for it and then have to personally replicate it to get accurate results. But they won't staff up teams because this group "should" be helping

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

ax the Specialists, staff up your teams and create more cross account conversations

    Good company, not enough work

I worked at MediaVest Worldwide as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

I worked as an intern at this company. Often times, interns were not considered a full part of the team, while other times, they were given plenty of work. It depends on the teams.
Free coke products, lots of free products from vendors.

    Cons

At times, there was not enough work to do. I've heard they could use employees as a workhorse.

    Pros

The actual teams I worked with were great. Smart people, generally sane, and very proud of the work accomplished here. Honestly the people here are great to work with.

    Cons

Anytime I had to interact with HR, it was clear to me they were there for the benefit of the company, and not necessarily for the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I've talked to team members that didn't even KNOW who their HR rep was until they left and had to go through the exit interview process. Take a little bit more time to communicate to employees that the org cares about them, and I think that will go far.

    Pros

Great PTO, benefits and general work environment.

    Cons

Poor staffing plan, minimum career advancement due to management politics, low compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When asking for employees opinions of how the company could improve, it should be taken seriously. After being at the company for more than 3 years, it's become increasingly apparent that MV is just another corporate company where politics steer the direction of employees careers.

I worked at MediaVest Worldwide full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked here through the recession and very few jobs were lost. Other agencies laid off people in big numbers yet MediaVest hung in there. That's a testament to the good leadership and pipeline of new business. It's a good place to start and then come back to. For those who have 4-7 years of experience and are looking to come in at a mid-level position, agency-life could be a big adjustment. Training is very good and camaraderie is fantastic. Also, agency vacation is the best.

    Cons

Depending on your account, your culture could be soured by a few bad eggs. There's a decent amount of movement internally, but a lot of people leave after a few years for greener pastures and a lot of talent is lost at the mid-level career rung. I think the hiring at the junior levels is also questionable at times. The salary is pretty terrible at the entry-level, but the standard could be higher.

I worked at MediaVest Worldwide full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great environment and good opportunities to grow, especially if one makes that known to upper management. The culture is also very fun, while still being professional.

    Cons

The work-life balance is not always in place or a priority. Also, I have never known or heard of anyone ever receiving a bonus for hard or extra work.

    Pros

Ok benefits, good amount of vacation time/personal days if you stay long enough. Great 401k vesting program if you stay long enough. Has a formal review process which is supposed to happen twice a year so you get feedback from your managers on your progress.

    Cons

Teams are not properly staffed leading to very high stress levels, huge workloads and terrible work/life balance. Overtime all the time, will have to be accessible if you go on vacation or have a day off. Will have to check your emails constantly while out of the office.
