I worked at Medical Staffing Network full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I learned a lot at Medical Staffing re: healthcare and worked my way through recruiting/staffing/payroll/benefits

    Cons

The company was going through a lot of merging when I was there and having a direct person to refer to or trust became difficult .

    Advice to Management

More incentives for branches that perform would be a great way to retain people for longer periods of time. Provide more support to local branches re: sales. Staffing medical is not like it used to be.

I worked at Medical Staffing Network (Less than a year)

    Pros

This organization was focused on having a collaborative working environment. The team in this I worked with was always supporting each other.

    Cons

No real cons except that the market down turn presented challenges that reduced the number of client available and subsequently, the number of employee were reduced and wages were lowered.

    Advice to Management

May consider refocusing your business strategy to cut cost and allow for increased wages. May want to look at telecommuting for your employees given that they mainly work the phones all day.

    Pros

    Fast response to applications entered

    Cons

Watch out for this company! I applied for a job through indeed. I originally was sent and email and told the job was filled, so I continued with my job search. I was then called the next day saying the position was open and they wanted to do a phone interview. She said she would have to pass the information onto the hiring manager and we would go from there. I was offered a position the next day. I was also offered a position earlier that day from another company. The entire day she would call, email, and text me (I didn't know jobs you didn't work for did). Always apologizing because she knew I was already at work, but wanted to let me know about the job offer. I called the recruiter back and asked her if I could have time to think about the offer, due to another job offer that I would like to weigh my decision. She became rude asking why I would have to consider the offers and how she was upset that she didn't know I was seeking employment from other places. A question she clearly could have asked during our phone interview and I would have been more than happy to tell her I had. She then asked if I could let her know first thing tomorrow morning and I agreed. I emailed her before I went to work the next morning since they were not open yet. Then 2 hours into my shift I received 2 calls and a text message asking me to be professional and live up to my word of giving her an answer. I called back to ask her to politely check her email. I also called to speak to a manager, still yet to hear back from one.

    Advice to Management

Please make sure your recruiters are not harassing the people that you are trying to recruit and they are not being rude. This was the worst experience I have ever had with someone while trying to seek employment!
