Pros – Not a startup, a mature company that is improving and growing. Cool new NYC office later this year. Relatively flexible hours, flexible working from home policy. Sane weekly hours and mature backlog planning. Cool and interesting projects.

Cons – Some teams are better than others (but management is actively working on this.) Highly regulated industry requires some cruft on our end. Sometimes hard to understand the product.

Advice to Senior Management – Currently at a critical junction. Make your bite as big as your bark and this company is golden.

Cons – Management thinks they know everything but they dont
HR Dept is very green and wet behind the ears, they dont know the business at all, or much about HR
Brutal hours with little thanks
Too much rah rah from wealthy senior management thinking that will make us feel like our paychecks are larger

Pros – Good culture. Fast paced environment. Good for developers

Cons – Hard to get promotion or salary raise.

Pros – The people in my department were nice.

Cons – Products are released with little thought to how they will be supported. Integration of products lines is an afterthought. QC is poor at best, I never received positive feedback from management on anything that I did while working there. The structure of the company is constantly in flux and changes are not given enough time to take effect before more changes are made.

Cons – micromanagement and it leads to burn-out

Pros – Many of the staff are good people to work with and keep the office atmosphere pleasant.

Cons – Too often long hours are expected without recognition. Middle management is too political and self promoting to be good managers and support their employees' growth. There has also been a lot of turnover the past year or so with too many changes of direction or lack of direction.

Advice to Senior Management – Take a closer look at middle management when lower level staff are fired or quit. Interview the colleagues of those who are fired for their knowledge of the situation and their reactions. Some of the managers are not qualified to be line managers or have the background needed for the department they're in. Unearned favoritism also contributes to the unhappiness in the office.
