I have been working at Mediterranean Shipping Company full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Plenty of young people to hang out with. the company is strongly exposed with interns and short terms. It is a good place to be in for the benefit and if you are the additional source of revenue for your family.

    Cons

It is definitely not the company to be in if you need to support a family.

I worked at Mediterranean Shipping Company as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Nothing positive except you are working in manhattan.

    Cons

Salaries are very low. Most workers are working to tourist and temporary visas. No advancement whatsoever unless your are Italian. Any person would be stupid to work here.

    Advice to Management

Are we working in the US or Italy?

I worked at Mediterranean Shipping Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

None whatsoever. Unless you count working in New York. Which you only will if all you know about NY is what you've seen in movies.

    Cons

Everything. They hire mostly foreign nationals through "creative" immigration processes, they have no other employment where they come from so they take advantage and pay the employees a ridiculously low salary. People are treated like sub humans, management will regularly harass you if you don't fall in line with the status quo and you can keep dreaming about any sort of promotion if you're not Italian...because all the upper management people are Italian "pals".
