    Pros

The best part I can remember is the people you recruit with. They all go through the same challenges as you do so it creates a close bond!

    Cons

Tons of work for little pay!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not sure if this has changed but ease up on the dress code!

    Pros

Great opportunity for recent graduates to get some working experience. Young atmosphere.

    Cons

Heavy focus on metrics and not on quality relationships with candidates. Commission rates leave no incentive for recruiters, managers talk about opportunity for growth and it is not attainable. Poor training program.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve training program. Do not promote someone before they are ready, and have realistic expectations of your new recruiters. Work/life balance needs to be improved.

    Pros

-Everyone is young so it is easy to relate with your co-workers.
-Recruiting can be fun and rewarding when you find someone a job.

    Cons

-Micromanagement at the recruiting level but lack of accountability at the sales and management level.
-Toxic and unprofessional work environment. You never know what kind of mood you will walk into in the morning.
-Pay is lower than industry standard and the tiered commission structure does not make up for it.
-Inconsistency- One day productivity numbers won’t matter as long as you are performing, but the next day productivity numbers will mean everything.
-Harps on the negative things and quickly forgets the positive.
-High turnover is blamed on “the staffing industry” and the real reasons are not addressed.
-There are set guidelines on how to get promoted but they are not followed. Really depends on favoritism, regardless of how you perform.
-Employees were asked us to post a review on here when a negative review was written.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a step back and evaluate the root cause of why things go wrong instead of continually making up excuses.

    Pros

It completely depends on the office leader that you have in order to make a great work experience. Should you be so lucky to have a supportive manager then the job can be somewhat fun.

-If you manage to win any part of the quarterly or annual contests then you are recognized significantly.

    Cons

-Unfortunately for Medix, it is a lot of smoke and mirrors. Many things are promised while few of those promises are kept. It is really disappointing because senior leadership does promote innovative ideas and thinking but you must be comfortable challenging the norm and understanding that it may not always be well received.

-The pay is dismal mostly because the salary is below industry standard and the tiered commission system makes it challenging to see significant impact to your paycheck. It seriously takes about double the time to make what is promised.

-Senior leadership is basically given free reign and not held to any sort of accountability standards. They constantly promote the "old boys club" environment, unless you are a lifer do not expect to be taken care of.

-Turnover is extremely high due to lack of focus from sales managers and unrealistic metrics expectations.

-If you want to know what working for this company is like watch the Boiler Room.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-Recognize that the nationwide turnover issues are not always the fault of the talent that you hire but the lack of management strategies that you have.

-Be more honest with your employees and understand that they are part of what help to make the organization successful.

    Pros

Presence managers were professional yet, friendly, funny & generous. Poor project management by Medix

    Cons

We were hired & committed to 40hrs/wk for 5-7 weeks. After the 3rd week it was virtually day to day. In only 2 wks did we work 40 hrs. The rest were 20, 32 & 36. One night we went home & our Medix manger called late that evening & thanked us for our service.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Its rude, unprofessional & disrespectful to expect people to commit to 40hrs/wk for 5-7 wks & yet not commit to anything.

    Pros

Some of the people are fun to work around, but overall this is a lame job. They want you to drink the company Koolaid, but its so coerced it sickening.

    Cons

Terrible commission and base pay.Annoying dealing with not just clients, but contractors as well. Company culture is old-fashioned and lame (Which makes zero sense, because most the employees are 20-30).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think progressively, and be realistically when discussing earning potential.

    Pros

Relatively speedy response to things. Multiple communication options.

    Cons

Infrequent check ups while on assignment, some lack of professionalism, overall lack of advanced business acumen. No offer to find a new assignment after the last one ended. I always felt like I had to lead the conversation as a more senior staffing agent, which I am not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be prepared to answer some tough questions if an assignment ends early, hire people with a bit more of that 'can do' attitude.
