    Pros

The salary is competitive. There is a gym onsite.

    Cons

There seems to be a lot of politics involved in performance reviews, as well as corresponding merit increases and bonuses. It is very difficult to move up. Employees are not generally treated well, and are fearful to make a decision. Management is very controlling, and proud of that.

    Advice to Management

Please don't continue the culture of fear.

    Pros

Money is good but not better than similar companies. Lots of hardworking people

    Cons

Company run on fear. Upper Management is weak and barely credible. Poor respect for employees. Lots of workers are unhappy and scared and are always looking for other opportunities. I want to go too.

    Advice to Management

Get some training how to mange people or do something else.

    I worked at Medpace full-time

    Pros

None I guess if you like your colleagues then that is the only positive.

    Cons

Non-director level positions don't have a private office, set-up is cubicles, there is no privacy as everyone can hear your conversations. There's micromanagement, the directors don't know how to delegate. They need to learn how to delegate the workload. HR does not allow for the employees to socialize so be very careful what you say and watch your behavior. You can be terminated without any reason. There are better companies than this one.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to delegate the workload. Follow the employee's job description. There is no training in place in any department. Need to learn how to implement team building.

    I worked at Medpace full-time

    Pros

Co workers very friendly and hard working.

    Cons

Upper management runs department based on fear, threats, and belittling staff. Their behavior is protected by HR and when reported we are told, "That's just the way he is, he's actually better than he used to be. Unsafe practices when providing subject care...staff instructed and not given time to change gloves or wash hands, even with sanitizer between subjects. Other violations exist in the department.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the staff doing the work, won't be long before you actually have legal action for the hostile work environment created by the threats and yelling in the workplace.

I have been working at Medpace full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits: Free lunch everyday, onsite gym, secure building, and pretty good health/dental insurance with different savings plans like 401k etc.

    Cons

If your not the Barbie Doll type don't waste your time...they say training is supposed to be 4-6 months but for about half its really a judgment of 4-6 weeks. This company really doesn't give you a chance to improve, gives no warnings before discharging really good employees. Just be cautious before accepting their offer, because it can really hurt your chances at getting another job like this one in the industry.

    Advice to Management

Management is willing to help, however you have to seek the help. Even if you do it doesn't make a difference if they will keep you on or not. They simply don't give their employees a chance to improve their skills...even if the job is something new.

    Pros

Free fitness room, free lunch, benefits are decent, salary is decent.

    Cons

Management makes promises they can't or won't keep. Very capable and bright employees are undervalued and unchallenged as promotions are not based on merit so much as popularity. Training is nonexistent. It's sink or swim.

    Advice to Management

Learn to value employees who are bright and seeking the opportunity to learn and advance.

I worked at Medpace full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free lunch, work out room, good salary.

    Cons

Mid-level management is ineffective with higher management in getting needed changes in place to improve the company. Often such projects are just put off "until another year." Executives primarily concerned about coming in under budget. No room for advancement or encouragement to advance to higher levels. IT Support group stopped training for some reason. Merit increase process was very vague. You have no idea if you're going to get one or not or how much of one it will be if you are going to get one. Culture is very much "everyone for themselves" and rife with nepotism.

    Pros

There are no pros for this company.

    Cons

This company does not have respect for employees. If a company does not respect the individual who works for them then I would not rely on a drugs they study. Management is lacking proper training to work with individuals. I strongly believe a company should not hire or promote individuals without a management degree or years of experience. I suggest all candidates look elsewhere for a permanent position. If you want to work for a company that will show you respect and provide you with a strong future, this is not the place for you. Don't let the salary wow you because it can be gone in an instant. Training at this company is poor and then management blame the employee.

    Advice to Management

This company should not promote within. This has shown to be a poor decision. They lack the proper training to work with employees. They may know protocol but they do not know how to be a positive influence on employees. Any manager who gets anger during a training session should be terminated to avoid and negative outcomes.

    I worked at Medpace full-time

    Pros

They offer good benefits, the facility is nice.

    Cons

The leadership is horrible. Managers were very unhelpful and seemed annoyed by any questions asked, making it hard to feel open with them. Because of this, you learn by asking all your other coworkers on what you should be doing, which offers no consistency. Their training programs need a lot of work. Also, if you don't like working long hours, this is not the place for you.

    Advice to Management

Work on communicating better with your coworkers, especially with new hires.
