    Pros

Free lunch, free workout facility, friendly employees and nice building.

    Cons

This place is great to get your foot in the door in the research industry, however not a place to stay long term. You will always feel like you are being micromanaged, promised to work from home and a constant fear of being fired. Additionally, the CRA managers only want to protect their image even if it means doing wrong. The president of the company portrays an unwelcoming attitude in the quarterly meetings and the company uses scare tactics.

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging and ensure your employees are happy at your company by keeping your word. While working at this company, many CRA's were very unhappy for several reasons. Management is never on the same page and the rules change for different people. The reason this company hires so often is to keep up with the amount of people they fire.

    Pros

Exposure for non-clinical associates to be exposed to the industry....However the cons outweigh this benefit.
Nice co-workers who enjoy what they do

    Cons

This company is very crafty at "low-balling" all clinical associates in this industry. The company is always hiring because they are always firing. The reason they train is because they want to start individuals at a low salary so that they don't have to pay you the standard salary in the CRO industry for clinical associates. Once a person with the company gets close to standard pay in the industry, they fire them and give their studies to the underpaid associates, the companies cunning business trick to overwork and underpay hard working individuals in this industry and not have to pay employees their worth. If you are a CRA with current exposure to the industry work for another CRO instead of Medpace so you can get paid the standard salary in this industry and have a stable job and work life balance. If you do have to work for this company in order to gain exposure into the clinical market make sure to proceed with as much precaution as possible. Work smart every single day and have copies of everything important in regards to your employment or anything that you sign so that when they low-ball you, you can protect yourself. I wouldn't advise working with this company for more than a year or 2 at most, the company seems like they are in financial trouble. they are constantly looking for someone to buy them and there are always so many CRAs without any studies waiting for assignment. Medpace would be a better company if they would fix their training program, treat employees valuable in all respects especially employees that are located outside of headquarters location. I understand that all companies have their issues and are not perfect but in comparison to other CRO'S Medpace does not compare at all. Switching companies was the best decision I've made thus far. Overall be smart and proceed with caution if you do decide to work for this company hopefully don't ignore the warnings and work smart.

    Pros

Friendly co-workers, nice office space. Good work/life balance. The free gym is nice.

    Cons

They market the free lunch, it's terrible. They hire a large group of people and don't provide great training. They have the philosophy of throwing everything at the wall and waiting to see what sticks. I was trained by other interns, not a trainer or my manager

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees. Maybe consider hirring a lower quantity, but higher quality. Managers should have some contact with employees. i went multiple weeks at a time without any communication from my manager.

I have been working at Medpace

    Pros

Medpace offers a client-centric approach and provides their staff with the resources and tools to get the job done. While some CROs focus on adhering to budget, Medpace allows their teams to focus on quality by separating the project team from the finances. Teams have the ability to focus on a quality product for their client.

Medpace offers employment opportunities and paid internships for individuals just out of college and searching for an opportunity to learn the pharmaceutical research business.

    Cons

Medical benefits could be better- high premiums and copays.

    Pros

It could be one of the best CROs of the market. It has infrastructure, facilities and expertise and some talent co-workers

    Cons

Incompetent high management and the world for them is just Cincinnati - OHIO

    Advice to Management

They need for yesterday a new high management...really they are very weak

    Pros

They offer good benefits, the facility is nice.

    Cons

The leadership is horrible. Managers were very unhelpful and seemed annoyed by any questions asked, making it hard to feel open with them. Because of this, you learn by asking all your other coworkers on what you should be doing, which offers no consistency. Their training programs need a lot of work. Also, if you don't like working long hours, this is not the place for you.

    Advice to Management

Work on communicating better with your coworkers, especially with new hires.

    Pros

There are a lot of departments with flexibility to move within the company, both growth or lateral. Many positions allow autonomy while still being a part of a team.

    Cons

The medical benefits are a little pricey compared to other companies. As with any corporate company, getting raised or promotions can be difficult for some the way the current system is set up.

    Advice to Management

Compare employees across their position rather than by supervisor.
