Financial Services has seen issues in the last several years and senior management is extremely disconnected from their staff. They have downsized greatly with little regard for the burden left upon the remaining employees

Advice to Senior Management

Talk to your staff. They can and want to help but you must leave the ivory towers.

Great industry, great members, friendly staff, good benefits. All of the elements are there to make this a great place to work.

Cons

Management is downsizing, and doesn't seem to understand the impact on the staff left behind. The staff is nervous, the company is still losing money. We've lost some really good people.

Advice to Senior Management

Before a position is eliminated, understand impact on those left to pick up the slack. Workload is almost intolerable. We understand that these were tough decisions to make, but we need more recognition for our efforts.
