I have been working at Memorial Hospital & Health System

    Pros

I work with many professional and highly qualified individuals that truly care about their patients.

    Cons

Lack of consistency between managers in different departments. But this is really not only at Memorial.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be consistent and maintain professional working relationships with your subordinates. Making "friends" with them leads to favoritism.

I have been working at Memorial Hospital & Health System

    Pros

    level 2 trauma, expanding campus,

    Cons

will be only hospital downtown within next 2 yrs--more costs will be absorbed from indigent patients= tight budget

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

i would like to see management demonstrate an ability to perform our jobs in accordance with the standards they have set....they continue to add tasks and responsibilities and it seems at times that they have unrealistic expectations of what we should be able to safely and effectively do in a shift

I have been working at Memorial Hospital & Health System

    Pros

i feel they are up on the most current treatment and care for the patients

    Cons

the pay stinks . if you are specialized in an area and considered a pro in your field, then i think you should be rewarded for that knowledge, but no, they do not. nor do they acknowledge it verbally.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

put some of the big money given to mangement back to the people that actually do the hard work that makes it possible for a hospital to operate. without this group of people there would be no need for the management group.
