    Pros

Great benefits; driven coworkers that bring the best out of you; and many opportunities to grow.

    Cons

As a very large organization, it is a bit intimidating at first. I came in as an RSA and eventually found my stride in the clinical practice plan.

    Advice to Management

I was always treated very well for my hard work. I don't have anything negative to say. Please continue to hold job fairs for folks in upstate NY (like me) to find wonderful opportunities at MSKCC!

    Pros

The research and administrative staff at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center were fantastic to work with, and great mentors. Professional development was built into my work, with regular seminars across departments and groups.

    Cons

Because it is a huge institution, there is a system and hierarchy that is set in place. The pay for research assistants is low.

    Pros

There is no better place for biomedical research. Great Immunology and Oncology programs, excellent research seminars. Great core facilities for antibody production, statistics, flow cytometry/cell sorting.

    Cons

The research environment is not very collaborative and highly competitive. Some of the core services need to be expanded to fit the growing number of researchers.

    Advice to Management

Encourage a more collaborative environment. Increase the core facility staff to accommodate the growing number of laboratories and researchers.
