Amazing environment to work in

Insurance Group Leader (Current Employee)
New York, NY

I have been working at Memorial Sloan-Kettering full-time for more than 5 years

ProsThe ability to learn different aspects of healthcare is endless. The management team provides staff the ability to expose themselves and network throughout the company. Education is key within Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

ConsThere really aren't any cons that come to mind. The only way someone would have a con for MSKCC is if they do not apply themselves. The possibilities are endless as long as on applies themselves.

Session Assistant I (Current Employee)
New York, NY

I have been working at Memorial Sloan-Kettering full-time for less than a year

ProsMemorial is a great hospital with top notch management. The benefits are great and for an entry level position the pay is competitive.

A great bonus to working in this organization is educational reimbursement they give to you if you want to go back to school

If you want to get hired in this place I'd recommend talking to someone who is already hired and for them to refer you.

ConsThis is not a 9 - 5 job. Some days you'll come in as early as 7am and some days you may have to leave as late as 9pm.

Advice to Senior ManagementMemorial has great management I have no complaints.

Prospeople, benefits, interesting work, making a difference; Enlightened academic institution allows for creative, intelligent people to flourish and contribute to an important goal, curing cancer.

ConsCommute, expense of commute; Not much more to say about cons. Any job has cons related to deadlines and stress. Knowing that you are working for a non-profit and helping patients with cancer is a good way to deal with any cons.

Advice to Senior ManagementProtect trust people place in this institution and continue making decisions based on sound reasoning and enlightened consideration of future of this field.
