Current Employee – been working at Menchie's part-time for less than a year
Pros – I have worked at Menchies for 8 months now, and absolutely love it! My co-workers are all super nice and fun to be around, and the owners of our particuler store are very involved in helping us. They try their best to make the schedules work for everyone. The Menchie radio is amazing so you get to listen to your fave songs!
Cons – High expectations from owners, somtimes I feel I can do everything perfectly and be on time with all our duties, yet there will always be something I didn't do right.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Menchie's part-time for more than a year
Pros – Easy job. Doesn't require a lot of work or effort. Opening and closing are the only times you really have to work.
Cons – Store owners take the job too seriously. It's just a frozen yogurt shop. No need to criticize the smallest details.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't give your shift leaders a hard time.

Current Employee – been working at Menchie's part-time
Pros – Fun place to work. The customers are always friendly. Can't go wrong with self-serve frozen yogurt. Very flexible schedule which is great for balancing work and school. Get decent tips during the summer.
Cons – Hours get cut heavily during the winter. Not many people want frozen yogurt when it is cold. Have to split tips with each employee after each shift.

Former Employee – worked at Menchie's part-time for less than a year
Pros – In the beginning it's really fun, it's colorful and awesome!
Cons – Once you've been there for a few weeks, I feel they had a lot of unrealistic expectations.
I also got yelled at and almost written up for something I proved was not my fault, and I felt that was really unfair.
Advice to Senior Management – Standards aren't worth the pay.

Former Employee – worked at Menchie's part-time for more than a year
Pros – Cool people to work with - depending on where you are located of course.
Cons – It's pretty much required to ALWAYS be smiling as a shift supervisor. It's unrealistic. Even the training video people couldn't keep an authentic smile like that for 10 minutes. SO MUCH MERCHANDISE but never when you need it. Our franchise would always be out of large t-shirts for kids.
Advice to Senior Management – You have a great concept and the flavors are amazing. Shift meal is great. I would have been a much happier employee if I didn't have to clean things constantly while greeting people (I'd come out sweaty sometimes) but I don't know how you can get around that...

Former Employee – worked at Menchie's full-time for more than a year
Pros – When left to your own devices to determine how to run projects and build infrastructure with minimal guidance but maximal expectations from above, it creates a pressure cooker situation within which you either sink or swim. Those who swim, however, are destined to only tread water for a short while before meeting their inevitable end here.
Cons – Too many to list, so I'd rather not try.
Advice to Senior Management – If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Best of luck.

Current Employee – been working at Menchie's
Pros – -Very flexible scheduling for college students
-Managers are open to feedback from employees
Cons – -Not much upward mobility.
-Since the job is menial, it attracts a lot of lazy, unprofessional co-workers. Managers, for the most part, do a good job getting rid of them.
-Customers at my location were on average rude and unappreciative. Too many teenagers.
