    Pros

Great Salary and benefits for the cost of living in the area

    Cons

Manufacturing this place runs 24/7 so you may have to work in the middle of the night

    Pros

From ADMIN perspective Pay (pays well) Hours (no lack of work to be done) Stability (VERY hard to get fired...I've seen/heard some stuff) Opportunity for travel (if you're into that sort of thing)

    Cons

Varies from group to group but overall: Culture (Lack of emphasis on learning/training for new hires, co-ops, or interns) Inflexible (Very large company with STRONG corporate dependencies) Ther is a A LOT of opportunity for improvement but most managers/employees emphasize maintaining the status quo

    Pros

Proximity to the cars, able to experience production life, reputation of Mercedes-Benz

    Cons

No planning, no projects, doesn't care about intern development

    Advice to Management

Rework HR, decrease the size of the intern program, find mentors for interns that will take it seriously

I have been working at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great pay and good people on my level for the most part. You are always going to have those few back stabbers looking to get to the top at any cost

    Cons

Work force is temporary and not stable. Its hard to get the quality Mercedes expects. Management does not communicate well with my level. Not a clear direction of where we are going. Middle management takes the shotgun approach to problems.

    Advice to Management

Communication, Communication, Communication. Talk to your people and tell them what's going on in the company. Don't be afraid to admit when you have made a mistake.

I worked at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great Pay, Benefits, Open Door Policy and room to advance as far as you'd like to move up.

    Cons

Zero Family Time, Body Shop would not be divided into 3 shifts like the two Assembly shops, leaving us working 12 hour shifts - plus I was driving an hour & a half there, and an hour & a half home - was just wore out.

    Pros

Good health benefits and insurance coverage etc, decent pay, low cost of living. Work is emotionally satisfying and coworkers are generally great to be around.

    Cons

Communication from management to floor workers is lacking or inconsistent. Early morning work hours, repetitive tasks can become extremely boring.

    Advice to Management

Improve communication among yourselves and to those below you.

    I worked at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The benefits are some of the best in the southeast. The pay is one of the highest in the south compared to the cost of living

    Cons

As they grew, they lost that personal advantage. They got away from caring about family and began to focus more on the bottom line (sometimes at the team members expense.)

    Advice to Management

Regain that personal touch with the employees and stop treating them as though they were machines.
