Good compensation compared to similar jobs with similar companies
Meredith really cares about the physical and emotional fitness of their employees

Competitive pay for the market, decent retirement plans. Company promotes a healthy lifestyle in order to keep insurance costs down.
Cons
The management needs a serious overhaul. Management makes decisions that make no real logistical sense. Very bad about granting time off, even when it is earned.

People are very friendly and supportive. There are many people willing to help you if you need it. Work/life balance is very good. They seem to be phasing these positions out, but I did know several people who had flex work schedules. I rarely worked a night past 7, and the office location is convenient for those commuting to Westchester/CT.
Cons
They communicate to the employees very clearly about which brands receive the bulk of the investment dollars, so if you are not at one of those brands, it is easy to feel overlooked.

Make it easier for the various departments and new companies to work together.

Solid industry recognition and stability, with good pay and benefits.

Headquarters’ managers are not in touch with branch employee’s value. They are not qualified problem solvers, only asks bloviated questions.

Stop the redundancy in un-necessary managers at headquarters’ and learn to fully understand the reports and workload of branch offices’.

Excellent benefits package, generous time off, industry perks, good location, schedule flexibility, and prioritizes employee health (free yoga, gym discounts, assistance for smokers, etc). Meredith strives to stay up to date with technology and industry standards.

My particular department had no room for advancement

-Meredith Corporation has an extremely Professional, yet relaxed working environment. As long as you complete your work, and do so properly, you will be valued as an employee. You will gain cosistent feedback from experienced managers or supervisors. All of your fellow colleagues will be more than willing to provide help whenever needed, and never look down on you for asking questions. the best advice I can give to anyone who hopes to work their is to be assertive and ambitious. Once you complete your personal objectives, ask for more work to do. In the 8 months I worked there, I was given a promotion because of my willingness to take on any projects necessary. If you are willing to put in the effort, you can gain a lot of valuable experience from Meredith.

I was an intern so the pay was a little below what I hoped it would be.

Good benefits, very comfortable pay range, beautiful building with interesting history.
Cons
Employees are not appreciated and overworked. Hiring and promotions are based on educational level; work experience is not taken into consideration. Poor training, lack of communication between managerial personnel and subordinates. Management is more interested in office politics rather than in leadership and guidance. Employee's initiative is punishable.
