    Pros

Great corporate culture throughout. The CEO has a great vision and had developed a great health system. The system is diverse enough to accommodate all career goals.

    Cons

Huge double standard on how employees treat each other and physicians and how Physicians treat the employees,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Great culture and team members throughout the system. Mission and values of the system are truly admirable resulting in positive support throughout the region. Good health benefits.

    Cons

Salaries aren't ideal for the workload and lacks coordination among different departments, which results in each department working in silos and reacting to one another instead of planning and strategizing for a more proactive approach.

Poor Company to Be in Business

    Pros

There was nonthing great about working for this company.

    Cons

Very Poor management with no communication with the workers. Pay raises are .25 cents a year and upper management states it's a cost of living raise. The least paying company in the area. If you work for them for awhile and you start to make money, they find away to terminate you and than they hire someone else to do your job for minimum wage. If you are part time and you work almost 36 hours a week, you want to go on vacation, you can only use 20 hours of your vacation time because you are part time and you are guarantee 20 hours a week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The upper management needs to get their heads out of their asses.

    Pros

Got a great exposure to the different areas of a hospital. I had the opportunity to spend time in geriatric care, hospital administration, ER, maternity, and oncology departments.

    Cons

The computer infrastructure for looking up patients was quite antiquated. I am sure it has been updated by now, but at that time it was quite the annoyance.

    Pros

Enjoyed the clients. Made many life-long friends. Increased business contacts and network.

    Cons

High turnover of employees. Profit-driven rather than consumer-focused. Little respect for employees. Did not value long-term, loyal, experienced staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care more about the mentally ill population than your status in the community. Value employees. Upper mgt and executive staff get huge salary, raises and bonuses while staff have not gotten even a cost of living raise since 2003. They use any excuse to withhold the small annual bonuses from staff and bonuses are often awarded months after they are due. Shame!
