I worked at Meritus Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked for Antietam Health Services in a business department. The only pro about the company I have is that the benefits were great. It was just an okay job but I did learn a lot while there.

    Cons

Manager in my department had issues with all staff and the company didn't care about losing employees to this one individual. It wasn't the place for me.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, even if it is in the exit interview.

I worked at Meritus Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to contribute to happiest days of many clients lives- prom, wedding, anniversaries, etc. Most clients are grateful to be treated with honesty and integrity by giving them advice they can trust.

    Cons

Expect to work every Saturday and every evening they are open and to stay late to complete next days requirements. Every must know how to sew a button on and do a hand hem stitch.

    Advice to Management

Move to location with more and free parking; allow more time off and hire more staff to help give full-timers more time off.

I have been working at Meritus Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good coworkers Adequate cafeteria seating Parking lots

    Cons

Wages are not competitive to other area hospitals, employees are treated with disrespect, employees received a 2% raise this year while management voted themselves 11%, upper management snubs its employees, many benefits have been retracted from the common workers while upper management continues to revive substantial raises and bonuses, employees are almost punished for desiring a life outside of work

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees Compensate them accordingly Stop wasting money of trivial items/events Realize that the hospital will not work without employees of various levels in different lines of work

    Pros

Great coworkers and pay was decent.

    Cons

High turn over always in constant fear of losing your job if you don't know the right people. Also lots of favoritism. If you like to start drama management will never fire you.

    Advice to Management

Start caring about quality of care and less about the paycheck and maybe the moral would go up.
