Overall very good learning experience as a junior employee, was well worth.

Analyst (Former Employee) New York, NY

    Pros- smart colleagues
    - small team environment with independent infrastructure resources but this will be abnormal within the firm itself.
    - great resources to learn / review process
    - decent benefits, vacations, personal day policy
    - good pay even after the market collapse

Cons- stability issue with boa merger
    - somewhat watered down benefits from boa
    - big firm, feels to be just a number within a firm sometime

Advice to Senior Managementthere doesn't seem to be a #1 area within the industry, the firm is reputable but just not good enough to be the best, this would not be of a concern anyway but perhaps stepping ahead from too many 'me too' strategy would be a good change.

Great company but not for trainees. If you already have a book of business then this is a great opportunity!

    Intern

Intern (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsSmart people work here, and the offices are pretty nice. As an intern, this is a great place to get experiences in the financial industry if you are considering to make it a career.

ConsThe work-life balance is definitely a con. Even as an intern the hours are long, and the financial advisors expect you to be at their disposal pretty much 24/7.

ConsAfter BoA took over, the HR team is not very helpful in resolving our HR related issues.
