    Pros

It was a paid internship, great office culture very busy where everyone knows everyone.

    Cons

Naturally, it was a very competitive atmosphere. Many higher-ups did not hold the "open door policy." Interns were also treated as personal assistants or were cold-calling most of the time.

    Advice to Management

Great program, more attention to be given to the interns in regards to teaching them about the world of finance and wealth management rather than putting them on the phones all day.

    Pros

The technology organization in Merrill Lynch is very innovative and fast moving. They do reward doers very well both in terms of money and promotions.

    Cons

This is a highly competitive and cut throat environment and you really have to be at your best at all times to survive. So if you are looking for a relaxed pace of work, this may not be the place for you.

    Advice to Management

It will be good if you can start providing an environment that can accommodate people who do a very good job but are not as ambitious and driven as some of the others. This way you will get a good balanced team.
