    Pros

Not many for an experienced employee.

Nice building and conference rooms- that's about it folks.

    Cons

Where do I start- Run away as fast as you can from this place

    1) To say GBAM business unit collaboration is dysfunctional is being too kind as a description.

    2) Lack of culture and the lack of integrity from most of the business units and old school Merrill employees who are hanging on by a thread creates a terrible work environment.

    3) unhealthy work environment. Senior management does not care about you or anyone except the person they report to.

    4) Lack of direction and career mobility. Managers are more concerned about keeping their job than helping you.

    5) toxic clashes between old school Merrill (aka govt workers) and new talent from top investment banks. ML people are nervous and should be.

    6) Revolving door at ML. Having 4 managers in a 3 year period is not good.

    7) game of thrones mentality. No collaboration or team work. Very much a pat your back approach and old school production mentality aka 'Me' environment

    8) Care about clients on a trade by trade basis. Embarrassing the manor in how business units pitch and talk to clients ( talk down to clients)

    Advice to Management

Clean house and have people who possess integrity. Need a New school of thought, still stuck in the old school ML groupthink patterns.

You went bankrupt- change the mentality!

    Advice to Management

They could provide more individual attention and more learning opportunities. Better individual mentoring program would be a plus and help one to feel the can and do make a difference.
