    Pros

Great team working culture. Gave many opportunities to growth. Working with the financial advisers was rewarding and they provided assistance when required.

    Cons

Needed some more responsibility at times.

    Pros

Now that Merrill Lynch is part of BofA the business is "off the radar." The good thing is that there's plenty to do so you can stay busy from 9 to 5 and then enjoy evenings and weekends.

    Cons

If you're a go getter in the mid to late stages of your career this company is going to frustrate you. Lots of talk and very little action because management's focus is primarily on cost management.

    Advice to Management

The share of market for wirehouses is in decline. Truly investing in the client experience is the key to new growth.

    Pros

Great learning experience about the industry. Had the opportunity to sit in on meetings, learn necessary skills to build client portfolios, and it was a paid internship

    Cons

Can be a hit or miss internship depending on the financial advisor. There were a few interns who didn't have the same experience due to their FA not giving them any tasks to complete

    Pros

A lot of overtime! Great Benefits My supervisor was very flexible with my schedule A lot of opportunity to advance

    Cons

Information is constantly changing and is sometimes hard to keep up. Teams were too big and hard to manage and perform reviews on a regular basis.

    Pros

unlimited resources once you have a client and if you manage a large amount of money... over 80M

    Cons

Little to no real life training on how to obtain new clients. Sink or Swim Mentality

    Advice to Management

take the time to help direct your new Financial Advisors, if someone has strengths and needs teaming you should help them find the team that could use someone with their particular skill set. No need to waste all the money training someone just to drop them at a future date. you can probably transition people from the FA position to another role and save time and money training some other individual.

    Pros

Really smart people who care about the clients. Very sales-oriented organization so if you like fast-paced, stressful environments, this is the place for you.

    Cons

No replacement when people leave or get promoted. You're expected to pick up the work load without complaining. No training--it's learning by being thrown in front of clients. Management plays favorites.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people and pay the ones who are there more to compensate for the workload and loyalty. More flexibility in working from home. Some areas let their people work from home and this area does not.

    Pros

Great brand, location of work, reading materials. Building is ok, and located around place to lunch

    Cons

No structure in systems, lack of knowledge from anyone of how things work. Bank is too large and lost control of processes. People are superficial and lack substance, true desire and motivation for results

    Advice to Management

Culture is lead from top down, needs to change
