Exciting culture with a side of growing pains

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    ProsYou do interesting work.
There are many opportunities to grow and learn.
Mathematics ("Network Biology") is used in some innovative ways at the company.

ConsWhile I was with Merrimack there seemed to be some growing pains. The company is undergoing growth (great), but is not yet sure how to be bigger than 200 or so people (less great).

Work/life balance could use some improvement as people are often stretched thin. I heard more than once that "everything is a priority." That's not conducive to work being an enjoyable.

Advice to Senior ManagementKill the "everything is a priority" culture.

ConsEmployee retention a problem due to none of their drugs being on the market yet. Could improve employee recognition system.
