    I worked at Meru Networks full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    none left. company once had many smart people, few they left and remaining left or leaving. new recruits are hardly staying more than a year.

    Cons

    new engg management is real bad, dishonest and disrespectful. due to bad financial conditions, staff is reduced to less than half, engineers are given too much work and firing threats are given openly. new recruits are needed only for first 6 months and then treated like use and throw. and of course, buck stops at top management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    culture in engg is toxic and loser.

    I worked at Meru Networks full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Technology clearly different (and better in specific apps) than competition
    Great example of "best of breed" versus going with Juniper or Cisco
    Good focus on key verticals (healthcare, education, etc.)

    Cons

    Lack of marketing - market does not know how good Meru technology is
    Need to make WLAN compatible with all devices
    No one market seems to embrace Meru (maybe focus on just education?)
    Few partnerships that matter

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Build up an ecosystem with strong partners; will help build confidence in solution

    I have been working at Meru Networks full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    * Get to work on a unique and brilliant wireless technology.
    * Good work culture
    * Good compensation
    * Friendly coworkers

    Cons

    Unique technology of Meru is not well understood or rather misunderstood. It is still a small company and needs to stand up to its "Meru"ic potential.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Needs to focus on growing revenues with the wireless boom in number of wireless devices round the corner.

    I have been working at Meru Networks

    Pros

    Individually, everyone is nice. Its still a small company with a lot of broken processes so making an impact out the gate is easy.

    Cons

    Mgmt is green. Board is VC based and not the strongest. In order for the company to grow, they need a very experienced exec staff and a stronger board to influence change. A cleaning of house of some of the legacy folks who hinder change is necessary as well. Its very hard to get projects off the ground. Communication is lousy. Ignoring processes is the norm, so the clean up and compliance is a challenge.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I like Ihab as a person very much. He is kind. I understand through others that he can be very difficult. However, he is transitioning now. Not sure if the board is able to recruit/attract a strong CEO to bring the company to the next level.

    Disapproves of CEO
