Pros – The Company believed in promoting within so was a great opportunity for career growth

Cons – The Company filed for Chapter 7 and then Chapter 11 and we were ALL out of jobs within 4 days

Advice to Senior Management – Don't liquidate

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Pros – Promotions from within were the best. It was a small place and you knew everyone

Cons – They went out of business

Pros – The managers were very knowledgeable and trained very well

Cons – When your understaffed, youre the only one helping out the customers.

Pros – Good employees to work with, the managers were helpful and went out of their way to make sure that you could get the help you needed for your department

Cons – A lot of long hours, had a tendency to schedule you to close late one night, and then be there very early the next morning. Very busy environment

Pros – Great people who have a passion for their work. Company now out of business. Sold by Dayton Hutson to Sun Capital Investments in 2004. Top management executives changed company direction 3 times in a 1 1/2 years, broke up the company and sold off stores.

Cons – Typical awful retail management hours. A 50 hour week was a great week. 55-65 hours were more common.

Advice to Senior Management – Should have developed a cohesive strategy and stuck with it. Lack of identity caused the company to lose its core customer base to Kohl's.

Cons – Upper management was very distracted and splintered in their directions.

Pros – had a lot of oppurtunities and also learned a lot. as it was my first job it was satisfying.

Cons – the store needed better security system. noticing a lot of shop lifters. didnt know that there were people out there that really do those things.
