    Pros

Many departments have offered a great Work/Life balance. I met many good people.

    Cons

Very little growth opportunities, below the market salary increase rate. Many talented individuals left for better opportunities.

I worked at MetLife full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good environment, met some nice people

    Cons

They treat temps like garbage. If you are a temp and work with the team and critical illness just don't get too comfortable. The two nurses are miserable and the manager is very passive and is the henchman for the two miserable nurses,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat temporary workers with respect, don't setup up and look for reasons to send them packing just because you can.

I have been working at MetLife full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Brand recognition goes a long way in the insurance industry and MetLife has an excellent name that is renowned and respected. The work life balance is a plus; especially for working professionals with families.

    Cons

From an IT perspective the company is behind the times. The lack of integrated systems and disjointed business areas make it difficult to exude efficiency. A fairly conservative company that removes itself from competition by pricing out of the market. Advertising is a weakness.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase IT efficiency and better business segment integration/communication

    Naming Rights Destroyed 3,000 Jobs....

Former Employee - Analyst in Bridgewater, NJ

I worked at MetLife full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    None None None None None

    Cons

Concerned more about Name Recognition than Jobs...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Detail your ROI based on your Naming Rights...When you announced all you could brag about was that $500 Million Investment would bring you words....and I quote..."After every commercial break the announcers will say....Welcome back to Met Life Stadium..."...Possibly the most idiotic thing I ever heard in a Town Hall Meeting....$500 Million for what you thought would be free advertising and you can't even put a finger on the ROI after the question was asked time and time again at multiple meetings and then the CEO announces how he wants go on a Cost Savings Intitiative to save $4 Billion in 5 years..Then send 3,000 plus jobs southbound to save money,....You are a full time joke in the business....
