Pros
Competitive Salary, Weekly Pay (for everyone), Comprehensive Benefits Package, Great IT Support, Accessible Leadership, good format for addressing employee relations concerns.
Cons
Dress code (maintaining a business dresscode is not realistic for most employees), no clear guidelines on performance management, bonus strutcure could be more defined for all levels. It would be nice to have some morale boosting activities more than once or twice per year.
Advice to Senior Management
Ask all employees for their feedback. Make efforts to effectively promote and train managers to be successful. Don't look at the lower levels as the "problem" when issues are raised.
Pros
overall good experience working at methode.
Cons
poor communication from management to teams
Advice to Senior Management
Should provide more feed back to employees
Pros
After being acquired by Methode, this division has to a large degree been able to maintain a "small company" atmosphere. Mostly good people to work with, relaxed environment, and schedule flexibility.
Cons
Senior level management does not request or incorporate valuable input from lower levels into their decision making. Employees are treated like expendable resources. Poor staffing planning - always too little too late. Micromanagement at the CEO level. Resumes for divisional staff require CEO approval before being considered for interview. Potential suppliers must be approved by CEO prior to being added to the supply base. HR support is minimal - one person covers several divisions.
Advice to Senior Management
Start listening to your employees. Not every decision can be based solely on cost and revenue.
Pros
Chances of abroad trips are more ,
Less politics ,
Cons
Less inspiring .
Not really challenging ,
Pros
A company with great potential in some key markets
Cons
Extremely poor communication from top down. Focus on short term numbers, reckless cost cutting and resource shortfalls to get there. Some very weak players in the management team supported by strong suboordinates that get the job done, but for how much longer?
Advice to Senior Management
Start listening for the truth not what people think you want to hear, or dare not tell you.
Pros
To be part of a company who is entering into an arena of new, cutting edge technology.
Cons
Restructurization of it's North American automotive business units prevent long-term employment and new job opportunities or growth.
Advice to Senior Management
I do not have any advice or feedback for the leadership at Methode Electronics.
Pros
People are great. Small company environment allows close proximity to top management. Very good products for the future.
Cons
Very decentrilized company. Difficult to understand the org chart. Zero management communication. Direction not clear.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide company direction to your employees then lead them there.
Pros
Good Benefits, good work and private life balance, tuition reimbursement
Cons
Little promotion opportunities/ career advancement
Advice to Senior Management
Give employees more responsibilities
Pros
They have a fairly good benefits package. They have good insurance. They do pay full time employees a little better than average for this area.
Cons
Other than the plant closing, disorginization, no communication, sending most jobs to Mexico or China, it's a great place to have worked. Even before announcement of closing, we struggled to have enough parts to meet the orders.
They have hired a firm to help us prepare for losing our jobs, but they have only been there for 2 or 3 days.
It's really sad to watch our jobs and machines being loaded up on a truck to be shipped off to a competitors factory or to one of the facilities in China or Mexico. There are also a few positions left at the Carthage, IL facility. But we all wonder how long they will be there.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep our jobs here. You own Methode, not the car companies. Stand up to them.
