    Excellent training and benefits. Teams are cohesive units. Everyone follows the mission.

    Non-profits pay less to non-managerial employees.

    Pros

    Recent organizational changes and efforts to build a more positive organizational culture are bringing about needed change.
    Employee benefits are better than majority of other companies.
    Opportunities for professional development.

    Cons

    Is a nonprofit with too much corporate thinking/practices.
    Not all opportunities are equitable. Unless you know the right people or in a certain department, you may not see as many opportunities for growth as others.
    Insurance premium is too expensive to cover entire family.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    If you really want to live by the mission of the organization, begin by listening to the staff members who work directly with the communities the organization serves. Too many times, the staff's voice is silenced because the leadership wants to 'have the answer' when all the while, the staff is just trying to help better serve the community and contribute to the whole of the organization.

    Overall my job description was a perfect fit and I felt fulfilled with my work on the field. Plus, the company has great incentives for their employees

    Several staff members misrepresent the company's core values and company policies. It seems to be a trend that is ignored by superiors and even accepted.

    Pros

    Most of the people who work here really care about what they are doing and you can tell. Great benefits and a lot of great employee incentives.

    Cons

    Not the best compensation for most positions, management doesn't seem to care about the employees except for the very top management and a few really good directors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Compensate your employees more, the difference in pay and lifestyle between those that do the work and those that sit in offices in pretty bad. Employee loyalty means a lot.
