Pros – The hours are flexible and the the pace is not so fast that you can't get the job done right. The quality is also very high in their products.
Cons – The pay is below industry standard currently.

Current Employee – been working at Metrics, Inc
Pros – Extremely professional yet personable at the same time. I have been employed by Metrics for the last 10+ years. of my 29 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Metrics is by far the best company I've worked for. Opportunity for advancement is here; upper management openly recognizes hard work and dedication. I have experienced upper managements concern for employees family life several times. They are completely supportive of time needed for family. There is no better place to work.
Cons – I honestly don't know of any downside. We've had employees to leave, most due to going back for advanced degrees or thier spouses relocating. There have been some who have been lured to "Big Pharma" only to return to Metrics having learned that with most Big Pharma companies you are only an item to generate income, not a family member as you are here at Metrics.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue your personable management and honest open door policies.

Current Employee – been working at Metrics, Inc
Pros – The best reasons to work for Metrics, Inc. include high employee morale and a good benefits package. Metrics community involvement/support is great. There are many family-friendly aspects to Metrics Inc. like flexibility for maternity leave, child oriented events and activities, and usually, a respect for work and real-life balance from many middle managers. There are periodic all-employee events like a company picnic, Christmas party and Thanksgiving turkey fry. The subsidized health insurance premium for employees is very nice. Metrics, Inc. is well respected in the pharmaceutical industry and has made national attention, so work experience with the company can serve as a great resume feature.
Cons – Some downsides of working at Metrics, Inc. include limited career advancement opportunities and a lack of respect from senior and middle management for lower level employees. There is a high turn-over rate for the analytical staff and a general "everyone is expendable and replaceable" attitude. There isn't an incentive for doing extra or going above and beyond and there is no recognition or reward for dedicating personal time. Moving within the company can be difficult due to managers wanting to retain quality employees probably because of the high turn over. By the time an employee is trained and capable, they've noticed more promising opportunities.
Advice to Senior Management – The salary distribution is not fair and because of this, the information about salary ranges shouldn't be available to employees.

Pros – family atmosphere, trustworthy ownership that cares, great for growth or long-term career, flexible, secure job, growing company
Cons – salary and bonuses are light, limited opportunity or incentive for high achievers, losing family atmosphere with growth
Advice to Senior Management – Promote more professional development at all levels. Promote an atmosphere where all employees feel appreciated and see their job as more than a paycheck.

Current Employee – been working at Metrics, Inc
Pros – Casual atmosphere with good company morale. Lots of friendly people working together toward common goal (efficient accurate analysis). Low cost of living in area with good schools.
Cons – Company is top heavy, hard to move up. Area is small college town with not many attractions. Low pay compare to region.
Advice to Senior Management – Increase pay.
