Pros
help you get license and some placements are friendly
Cons
horrible company. they dont care about theyre employees, employees do what they want when they want. they call you at 2 o clock in the morning to cover for someone else but when your sick they respond with "who am i supposed to call at 5 in the morning" dont offer any benefits. people are sneaky and liars. if you are thinking about working for metro one think twice about it. i now know of way better companys than this.... company
Pros
work place and employees are really friendly various location
they'll help you getting security guard license for you
Cons
Lack of permanent work schedule
Lack of promotion and raise
Lack of training with no paid
Lack scheduling dispatcher for your work and throw you of working site location.
No excuse for your emergency call on your cell and making you using store phones only
No paid in lunch (30 or 45 min, 1hr)
No overtime (up to 39 hrs)
Lack of company's packing (401K, sick paid, vacation, etc.)
Minimum Paid $8.00 - $11.00 Per/Hr (Loss Prevention to Managers)
If you work for 2nd months or 3rd months they make you to sign-up for the union
Advice to Senior Management
at least giving us a raise promotion and better packing with no union
Pros
Cell phones are given to management. Expense sheet gets you free gas and tolls. Christmas party is held at the Hilton. Good place to learn about loss prevention.
Cons
Family and friends run the company. You will not be promoted, but they make you think you will. Positions change all the time...bosses change every few months. Lower management (not family or friends) must work 6 days a week in November and December. Men might have to stand post any given day. No personal or sick days allowed for lower management. Family members and friends hardly work. You'll see them come in at 11 and leave by 3.
Advice to Senior Management
Share the wealth. Lower management does most of the dirty work and get paid poorly. Stop with the lies. Treat employees with respect.
