    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Metro St. Louis Sewer District full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good solid organization. Good fiscal management. Some areas of the company are flexible and make a good attempt to engage employees.

    Cons

Top HR management is not a credit to the company. They teach empowerment but manage the HR group in a command-and-control dictatorial style, treating professionals as children.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of current HR Director and Assistant Director of HR and the entire company would benefit.

    Pros

One of the best part of this job is the security. This is a solid organization with great benefits for the employee.

    Cons

There are no career tracks inside the organization that do not require a degree and very few entry level positions to build from. Promotional opportunities for an associate are very slim.
