I worked at Metters Industries full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The atmosphere is laid back and the people are great to work with. Work is generally easy and a difficult task is rare. Management will work with your schedule and vacation time is almost always approved.

    Cons

Pay is low. Depending on the position it can be challenging to make a living wage. Advancement to a higher position within the Orlando facility is rare. Very little pressure to produce a high quality component.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is immoral to extremely underpay employees and lead them on as is if things will improve in the near future. Apply pressure when it comes to producing a quality product and apply even more pressure when it comes to disciplining employees. Listen to your employees, hierarchy is not the answer.

I worked at Metters Industries full-time

    Pros

Most of the people in the workforce genuinely want to provide a good service to their customers

    Cons

CEO is completely out of his league and antiquated. Extremely poor management at the top of the organization. Neither the CEO, CFO, or COO/CAO have the qualifications or experience to truly fulfill their executive roles and leaving the company and a healthy and prosperous way. Embarrassingly outdated processes and unaware leadership with no sophisticated skill sets compared to fellow competitor firms

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace all leaders - all VPs and above including the CEO. Pay your bills. Pay your subs. Win a contract for a change. Stop trying to create accounting tricks from one year to the next to play the game hiding recurring losses from DCAA. You can run but you cannot hide

    I worked at Metters Industries

    Pros

    The pay is pretty good.

    Cons

Don't work here if you're female. Interestingly, minorities don't fare too well here either - interesting because the owner is an African-American. The owner's a bit out of it, honestly. There's a big power vacuum that sucks in most healthy team-oriented behavior; there's a lot of infighting, gossip.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you could manage to focus on running the company and satisfying the clients, instead of fighting with each other?

it's working in the government sector, you never know what you are going to get.
