    Cons

-the upper management was terrible. - no education - no mobility within the company

    Advice to Management

Really needs to look into the store managers more than what they do

    Pros

There were lots of walk-ins and the clients were a lot of fun.

    Cons

Manager was covering another Regis salon in the same mall, and when she wasn't there the other stylists would not let me have any clients unless they were all busy. I was getting paid minimum wage and being forced to act as the receptionist because the manager took the receptionist with her any time she left. They said there would be monthly training but in over 8 months there was only one class. I complained to the manager about only getting a couple of clients a day and treated like a lackey and she said if I didn't like it I was welcome to leave. Then she held a meeting where she told us all that we should be able to run the salon on our own and we were all welcome to leave if we weren't happy. Several of us did, myself included.

    Advice to Management

Actually be there to manage the salon, train your employees and stand up for them! A great environment takes a great leader.

    Pros

I enjoyed my area supervisor, she always checked in on me and made sure I knew I could ask her for help.

    Cons

Only guaranteed minimum wage, even as a manager Could not have scheduled days off together. Was not allowed to fire employees, this is in regards to employees I had caught falsifying the books and stealing.

    Advice to Management

Update your salon software and appointment books. Create an actual salon education team, and allow all members of staff to attend by allowing the salon to close for a few hours. Give your managers their days off together, because most of the time, we have to go in to work them anyway.
