Pros
Love the diversity of customers and the commitment to service. If you are a crew member, you get a unique opportunity to go to places other airlines can't or won't go. As a staff member, you get diversified training because it is such a small airline.
Cons
Company is small, limited growth. Limited opportunities to fly for free. Miami is expensive place to live/work. Pay could be better.
Advice to Senior Management
To be honest, Miami Air is a good place to work and get your feet wet in the airline industry. They are very flexible and you can learn a lot. The majors are what everyone is leaving for, if they do, and money/stability are the main reasons why. I'd wish the Management would pay the staff employees better though, as most of them are crew member qualified as well.
Pros
Had the opportunity to cycle through many different departments. This internship is worthwhile for anyone who is interested in getting into the Airline industry.
Cons
The only thing I can think of a downside is the fact that you don't get enough time to get involved in one department. They usually cycle the intern every two weeks. Beware some departments are unprepared for the intern and boring.
Advice to Senior Management
Be a little bit more prepared for the intern when going through each department. Besides that I had a great time .
