I have been working at Miami Dade College part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

the perks to working here were the vast opportunities to climb the employment latter and the connections made with very important people in this institution. plus everyone is always open to help you and mentor you with any problem you may have.

    Cons

the cons to working here were few and far in between i would have like more hours though. besides that i have no complaints.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

some type of uniform or some sort of cohesiveness would be nice and more professional boundaries set for employees like if one is on the phone the other the other cant help another student right next to them.

I have been working at Miami Dade College

    Pros

The benefits are reasonable as well as the pay, the co-workers are very friendly and welcoming. It's a good place to start a career.

    Cons

It's difficult to get any sort of pay increase besides the regular annual increases, there's a lot of red-tape because it's a government funded organization and it's difficult to get in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please review the salaries and pay something comparable to the responsibilities that are assigned to your employees. Keep in mind that when you change an employee's responsibilities to include much more work, you should also change their compensation to match. Otherwise you'll lose good employees.

I worked at Miami Dade College part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Working here was great because I was always engaged with the students and tutoring them in whatever STEM subject they needed. Company values are great and they truly do care about their employees. They did offer raises every 6 months as well as a retirement plan. Very flexible when it came to your scheduling.

    Cons

Sometimes, the work place got very crowded which made it sometimes difficult to teach effectively.
    No other cons.
